2 Disappointments & 1 Success

Rite Aid
I've posted about deals at Rite Aid but sometimes going there can be so disappointing. I went on Saturday and today and had problems using my coupons. If I talk about coupon overage, this is ONLY if the cashier allows it. Here were my recent experiences:

Sat- I had a $40 off video value coupon for Bayer Contour USB Meter (on sale for 29.99 reg price $75). The coupon blogs I frequent said the coupon would give a $10 overage and I was able to do this once. However, when I went to a second Rite Aid store I was told the coupon would need to be reduced to the cost of the item, therefore, no overage. I had waited for 10 minutes in line already and the cashier seemed to be confused on how to proceed so I ended up just canceling the purchase. I also, inadvertently, walked off without my $40 coupon too. Ahh!!

Today- I had never had any problems with my local store until today. I tried to use my $5 off 3 Tresemme items coupon. I have used 2 in the past without any problem. The deal I used on 2 other occasions was buying travel size and having $2 overage to my other items I was already purchasing. However, today my cashier told me she was going to reduce the coupon to cover the items and when she called the manager to see how to do so, I was told I couldn't use the coupon at all because I needed to have at least $5 worth of Tresemme to use this coupon. Not true!!! but I wasn't going to argue with her. I ended up putting my entire items back onto the shelves and walking out. I wish they would be consistent so you know what to expect.
