The Future Door; No Place Like Holmes Vol 2 By Jason Lethcoe

The Future Door by Jason Lethcoe is the second book of the No Place Like Holmes series. It is  a juvenile action and adventure christian fiction. Griffin Sharpe a twelve year old detective with extraordinary observational skills solving mysteries with his grumpy Uncle Rupert Snodgrass. Griffin can mentally note many things with only a quick glance, making him a integral part of this detective duo. Rupert is an ingenious inventor of many things including a time machine. Griffin and his Uncle Rupert fight against the Moriartys as the foes of the book. This second book offers insight into the previous book helping those that did not read it.

The story was well written and very easy for youthful readers. I think the action was quick and satisfying as well as the mysteries. I did enjoy the christian theme woven into the story as oppose to being stuffed down the readers throat. It made it more believable and likable. I would recommend it to all young boys or girls that love the stories of Sherlock Holmes. He is referred to often in this book. It holds it own in the same genre.

I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com  book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255
