Max On Life by Max Lucado

Max On Life: Answers and Insights to Your Most Important Questions by Max Lucado

This book is basically a question and answer book based on the bible. Any question that you may have, you will probably find the answer in this book. It covers many topics. The author states that many of the questions in the book were first asked by his congregation. You will find questions to cover topics such as doubt and salvation, prayer, worry, pain, children and parenthood, men and women and marriage, sex and family. This book covers most topics involving all aspects of life and death.  Max Lucado will sometimes answer questions by including a story from his personal life. He will quote bible verses or just console the reader with answers based on the bible teachings.

I found this book very interesting and thought provoking. Many questions were very relatable. I found many questions were ones I would ask myself. I liked that the author used stories of his own life. It helped the book avoid being dry. It helped me connect with the author and true purpose of the book. The book had 7 overall topics Hope, Hurt, Help, Him/Her, Home, Haves/Have-Nots and Hereafter. I feel it was a very successful format for the book. It also includes a scripture index in the back of the book for quick look ups. I would recommend this book to everyone. It was worth the read and a good book to reference back to when questions arise.

I need to let anyone reading this review that I did receive this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishing. I did not have to write a positive review. The opinions written here and mine and mine alone. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255
