Restaurant.com

I recently signed up to receive email from this website and was offered  a super discount. I was able to get a $25 certificate to a local pizza place for less than two dollars. This is a great deal!! However, you MUST read the fine print. This site isn't selling a traditional gift certificate but rather a nice coupon. My husband and I were able to get $35 worth of food (as was the required amount) for only about $12 total out of pocket. That's AWESOME!

A few words of warning to anyone interested in shopping on Restaurant.com. Like I said, READ THE FINE PRINT. I would also advise that you shop this site by placing any certificates that interest you in your cart and then CALLING the restaurant to verify they will honor it. I didn't do this and drove an hour out of my way to visit an eatery just to use my certificate only to discover that they will not honor it. The eatery decided to remove their restaurant from the website but their listing wasn't immediately removed. When this happened to me I emailed the website. I asked for a credit so that I could purchase a certificate to a different restaurant. I will say that Restaurant.com answered my email very quickly. I was surprised to see an answer within 4 hours. They apologized and gave me the credit. Even though I was frustrated with the eatery not accepting the certificate I would still buy from Restaurant.com because they were so quick to fix my problem.

So if you had heard of this site but couldn't decide if you wanted to give it a try, I say GO FOR IT!!
Just remember:

1. check out what eateries are listed on www.restaurant.com
2. Read the fine print
3. put the most desirable in your cart
4. call these eateries to verify they currently accept it
5. checkout and ENJOY
